Not all teeth are the same shape. Natural harmony between the face figure and the maxillary anterior tooth contour has been well demonstrated in clinical research. Using the full-face photograph, the patient‘s face line is categorized as square, tapered, square-tapered, or oval. These shapes of the face will help determine which shape of the teeth will best fit the patient. The wax-up is fabricated using all these criteria.
